Join a group of innovative educators learning how to leverage technology to maximize student learning.
Participants in the Educational Technology Endorsement Program will learn frameworks of instructional design in a fully immersive interactive environment and hone strategies for day-to-day technology integration in the classroom. Moreover, the capstone course will focus on developing you as a leader in instructional design and educational technology.
Additionally, you will discover how to redefine your practice to meet the needs of 21st century learners, ultimately transforming educational opportunities for the next generation of leaders. This endorsement will benefit those seeking to improve instruction, enhance their resumes, and earn 18 graduate-level credits (12 of which can be applied to a graduate degree).

What is the Educational Technology Endorsement Program?
The Educational Technology Endorsement Program, also known as the "EdTech Program" is an endorsement that is recognized by Utah State Office of Education. Similar to an English as a Second Language Endorsement, the Edtech endorsement will also show on your teaching license.
What are the course requirements for the EdTech Endorsement Program?
There are nine core credits (three courses): Foundations of Instructional Design and Educational Technology, Educational Technology in the Classroom, and Educational Technology Leadership. Beyond the core classes participants will need to take nine additional elective credits as well. We will be scheduling three credits in Ogden with UEN. Participants will need to schedule the remaining six on their own, also through UEN.
How much does EdTech Endorsement Program cost?
Each core course is $69 each and is payable to Ogden School District. If you want SUU credit for any elective courses (for recognition or to put towards a master’s degree) you will need to pay $23 per credit.
How much time will the EdTech Endorsement Program take?
The three core courses will take place during the fall, spring, and summer semesters of the 2016-2017 school year. Participants will also need to complete nine credits in addition the the 9 core course credits. We will have three of those credits scheduled in Ogden with UEN. Participants will need to schedule the six other credits on their own. This can be done during the 2017-2018 school year or during the following school year.
Who can participate in the EdTech Endorsement Program?
Any certified professionals employed in the Ogden School District can participate. This includes teachers, instructional coaches, teacher specialists, and administrators.
Can my elective credits be applied to a master’s degree?
Yes, up to 12 credits can be applied to a master’s degree at Utah Valley University or Southern Utah University.
